SoCal TRADE Briggs for your Tecumseh

#1
Hello all,

I recently acquired this 5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine. It idles good and starts on first or second pull. I believe it was manufactured in 1984. I would like to TRADE it for a 4 or 5 HP Tecumseh flat head engine with the 3/4" crankshaft. (Ones with gas tank in front.) *I will not ship. Local SoCal trade only please.*

Model: 130232
Type: 1793 01
Code: 84111307

The briggs shown here, While rough looking looks to be a nice engine. It has the more desirable carb, A ball bearing pto, and a low oil cover, which may or may not indicate and steel sleeve and dual bearing engine.

Can someone please educate me on a "tapered" shaft? What are the issues/challenges of installing a clutch on this type of shaft?
Thank you.:scooter:

Shaft is tapered typically toward the end and it does not have a key way or key slot cut in it necessary to hold a clutch from spinning
