stihl chainsaw engine for mini?

Has anyone had success in using an older Stihl chainsaw (040) enginr as a power unit in a mini bike or Kart?

Thanks, I know that these engines have been used for years....but i was hoping to talk to someone that has actually used a Stihl 040 (or similar) engine for this purpose....looks like a homelite on that cool little dude in the clip.

the bike in the video is made by someone on a different forum. its a little kids bicycle with the engine on the back.

It can definitely be done. OldMiniBikes member "jdogg" (REALLY talented member by the way), put a chain saw engine on his daughter's mini-bike. I saw it last year at "Fun Day 3" out in Camarillo, CA - REAL nice job!:thumbsup:
