Tecumseh 6.5 hp powersport ignition question

Does anyone have a part number and/or know where I can find an ignition coil for a Tecumseh 6.5 hp Powersport engine? Thanks. I'm going through withdrawal not being able to ride my mini!! Tom

You should be able to use a stock coil in a pinch?

Do you have a picture of it? I am wondering if the motorsports hot coil would fit. It is an external magnet CDI correct?

yes the tecumseh hot coil will work(advance the timing).......:thumbsup:
but if you install that coil i would also install a adjustable carb/jet and a header pipe. all three things kind of work together when installing that coil. otherwise stick with a stock coil....:thumbsup:

I've got a spare stock coil in my storage unit. I went over to the hot coil. it really dose help performance a lot in a modified engine. I could sell it to you if you want. hope you don't mind it being painted. I do that to prevent rust and it really works. if you want it let me know
