Tecumseh HSK850 2 cycle engine charging system

Hello forum members,

I am a newbie when it comes to charging systems for minibikes in general,but would like to know if anyone has adapted , or custom built a Tecumseh HSK 850 2 cycle engine to charge an auxiliary battery/lighting system??

I am planning to install this in a custom minibike/scooter that will need a charging system(+ a battery for extended rides) for a switchable lighting system;I do know that Rupp brand minibikes had a charging coil charging system on a Tecumseh 2 cycle,but do not know if there are any more of those systems available anymore!?

Hey robo! I just trash picked a MTD snowblower that has one of these engines off the tree-lawn in my area and was wondering the same thing. I have been tinkering with various magnets and coils for a while now for the newer 4-strokes. I need to pull this thing apart and see if what I've designed will work on a 2-stroke...PM me! :wink:
