Tecumseh T50 carb question

#1
started on working on a heathkit hillclimber and got it to run on starting fluid. next step is the carb. I tried to remove the nuts that hold the cab on but the studs are spinning as well. the studs are into an adaptor on the motor any easy way to get them out?

also looking a the carb would I be better to replace the carb with a new carb or a rebuild kit on my existing one?
how good are the aftermarket carbs?

this one has a drain valve in it fuel bowl. does the rebuild kits have the seal for that as well.

the bowl , float and rest of the stuff are a green nasty mess. I have re built kohler carbs before but this one seems like a replacement would be a better way to go(its only a few dollars more than a rebuild kit and just want to make sure they aregood quality)

thanks
