Tilly Carb Setting

I have a 5hp Briggs with a pipe, ARC rod and a large Tilly carb. The bike runs fine but when I stop it gas runs out of the carb. What settings (number of turns) should I be using. The motor has a Walbro pump on it but a stock cam--is the cam the problem or carb settings? Thanks Bill.

Pop off valve may be causing that. Is the fuel coming from the needles or the throat?

It's coming out of the throat.

tillys are known to leak a lil ....check the pop off pressure...and all motors are diff my 5 horse is set to 1 full turn on the LOW and like 3 1/2 on the high best thing to do is toon it on the fly drive it and if it dont feel right do quarter turns till it feels right

It's coming out of the throat.

That's ok as long as its not terribly pouring out. Fulcrum arm may be too high. Every motor is different like notch said so test & tune till its right.

I've been running 2turns on the low and 21/2 on the hi so when I stop and idle the gas is coming out of the throat--low setting too rich? Thanks for the help.

its pretty much always going to come out at idle its how a tilly works whatever is in the wet side is going to drip out of the high side discharge port
