Ok, so I bought a Comet Torq-A-Verter for my mini bike and only problem is that when I slow down/stop then let off the brake I start to speed up and sometimes it's a lot or just a little. I've stopped completely before and it started going like 3mph. Is my engine just idling too high for the T/C? Or is there something else I should check.
Torque Converter Minor Problem
Yes, if your engine is idling to high it will cause this. There are a couple other things that can cause this as well. One is if the belt is to short, it will always creep forward. The other is, if you ride in very dusty conditions, the driver needs to be cleaned very regularly, as it can stick in the engaged position. When cleaning, and lubricating these, it is critical that you don't use an oily lubricant. You have to use a dry film lubricant, as oily ones will attract dirt, and cause slippage.
