I have been wanting torque converters for a couple of my bikes for quite a while. While searching the OldMiniBikes site, I came across a super deal! They have these torque converters at $69.99 now! I just received mine and they are very nice units! It even came with a 35 and 41 gear in the box!

This comes with a 10 tooth 40/41? If so I may buy one. I wonder if I could work out a deal with OldMiniBikes and ask for a 9 tooth to come instead of a 10?

They come with a 12T #35 and 10T #40/41 - Those are the options available in that package.

I haven't tried it on the new torque converter shaft to ensure it fits yet. Chinese TAVs vs. Comet TAVs may have different size shafts.

$69 ?!?! i'm having a trike built, how are these on an alsport and a stock gx-200 :chinese: clone?

if i buy 6 do i get eggrow??

I have this which I think is the same thing. Only this comes with free shipping.
It works great. Just use a good quality crank shaft bolt and not the one that comes with the kit. Those have been known to break causing the drive clutch to fly off. Use a good bolt to prevent that.

It works great. Just use a good quality crank shaft bolt and not the one that comes with the kit. Those have been known to break causing the drive clutch to fly off. Use a good bolt to prevent that.

One guy on YouTube hurt his ankle pretty bad when his blew up at speed (50+ mph). In the comments he said he used a grade 8 bolt. He also said he blew up the Comet replacement. One of his comments was "Tavs are kids toys anyways. Not for performance applications".

I had a bolt loosten up once. the weights flew out big bang blew the cover off. I was lucky nothing hit me

Phil, I run one on my trike and my motor is far from stock :thumbsup: I would suggest getting a Comet belt though :thumbsup:
