well basically the tap for the pulse line on the carb manifold leaks air and makes the engine bog out because its leaning out the mixture. I want to know what kind of sealant would be the best to make sure no air escapes from where the pulse line is taped into the carb manifold. Thank you :anon.sml::thumbsup:

I'd rather not use teflon tape, its not rated for gasoline and might get sucked into the engine. I'll either retap the thread with a new npt fixture or use a sealant. I've been looking at loctite 565 and might use that before I retap.

Loctite ® 565? PST ® Thread Sealant, Thread Sealing - Loctite
Basically expensive pipe dope. Although it is good stuff, just expensive for pipe dope.

If it is loose enough to rattle, you probably need to tap the next size or go with the gas tank fitting. Thread sealant can only do so much.
