Where to next?

I have a doodlebug with a hemi preditor engine from harbor freight.

Purchased a stage 2 kit from OldMiniBikes warehouse as well as the flywheel and spark plug. Running the standard hillard clutch. Governor is on and will remain that way.

My end goal is a minibike for puttering around with that will do 45 without straining the engine or blowing anything up. Right now I can do 39 mpg tops, any suggestions??

I would buy the rear sprocket adapter fom the OldMiniBikes warehouse and start dropping teeth off the rear for more speed. Your stock DB gear is probably a 72 tooth sprocket...change it to like a 68 tooth,might be a good starting place.

Ond is correct , I'd go 64 tooth , I have one and works great , still has good low end and increased top end pretty well !
