Will a comet 30 be adequate ?

So I'm building a new predator engine for my boonie bike. I'm a bit torn on the torque convertor as I want one that will hold up. The motor has an aftermarket intake, exhaust, SFI certed billet aluminum flywheel and a cam/springs.

I'm just looking for some input on this, will the 30 hold or should I go for the 40 ? However I don't see kits for the 40 quite like the 30

Don't know much about them except that the 40 is stronger.

The 30 series is rated up to 8hp. But the Healds have them even on the 10hp.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, will the 30 support a predator with those mods, it's mostly going to be a pit bike but it so t always be run softly

Don't foresee any belt issues ?

nope. Just make sure the flat sides are lined up.

Belts are not an issue if your careful.

The harder you ride it the faster they wear its that simple...

Don't know if you have ever seen a 40 but they are huge , my brother just sold one that was 3/4 shaft . They are also hard to find . Go with the 30 .
