Won't stay running when throttle is applied . .

I bought a used Baja Warrior 200 and when I first got it, had a little problem with it, but after it was left running for about 5 minutes would work just fine. It ran completely out of gas, was filled back up, now will not run after any length of time, nor will it crank back up immediately after idling for a few minutes. The oil seems fine, as well as the fuel filter. It just kind of sputters and then dies any time the throttle is turned.

Probably needs a good carb clean and adjustment. It is amazing how much better an engine runs with a clean carb.

Well, I was just trying to sell it. I don't really have any knowledge with bikes, just cars, and I know things are sort of similar, but not really. Should I attempt to do the cleaning on my own, or just sell it as is?
