i will be purchasing a clone for one of my projects and want to run e85, to take full advantage of the fuel where should my compression be at and what timing should i run. i will be using a tillotson 368 a carb. oh and what cam also do you guys recommend:scooter:
Engine is a OHV 6hp powersport. Was looking at the release lever on outside of the cam gear, that thing comes out way to easy ! Anyone have one come off/loose while running? I emagine to cover keeps it from coming all the way out.
Will removing it cause any balance or other problems? Not a...

Not sure what the prob is but i was out rideing my mini and came back parked it for a bit....when i got back on it.it was hard to turn over pull start was like there was drag on it....i got it started (6.5 china junk) runs fine but there is a slight whistle to it and its hard to start.....any...
My buddy just dropped off his 3 horse, 2 cycle, Toro snowblower saying it wont start. I have very little experiece with 2 strokes so I used my knowage from 4 strokes.
I checked for spark and compression. It has spark and the compression read around 53 psi.

O.k. now that I've identified that there's a compression problem (too low) what are my next steps ? How do I correct a low compression problem ? is this something that a joe hack like myself can do or do I need to send it out ? cost ? and any other opinions that you can share ... I'm all ears...
