1976 Heald Super Bronc VT-8 (Carbuerator ?)

#1
I have a 1976 Heald Super Bronc VT-8 complete without a carbuerator. I have been looking for a carb that would work on this bike but to no avail. Can anyone help?
The engine is a HM80-155057C Serial# 60370
I understand the carbuerator had a diaphragm pump. Where can you get these?

Yes, welcome to OldMiniBikes.

I believe I have the diaphragm fuel pump off from a VT8. But I don't have the carb....

When you're able take a couple pictures of the engine and post them.

here is the correct tecumseh part number for the carb. you will need to look for #631660A sounds like JEEP has the fuel pump for you.Iowa Motor Parts has the carb you need original tecumseh carb $100

You will have to start with the factory settings and adjust from there, your altitude will be the tuning factor.I am at like 900 ft above and the factory settings are very close to factory specs 1 3/4 turn and about 3/4 turn, every motor is different for tuning in.

start with the idle screw (screw on side of carb ) at 1 turn out and the main (bottom screw) 1 1/2 turn. try and go by the heat generated on exhaust and the smell of exhaust, also watch the exhaust when you give it gas if it puffs black it loading up (rich)
