Clutch for King O Lawn Aggie 97

Original clutch flew apart on my Aggie 97 (photo IMG-8150 in King O Lawn photos).
Mercury Clutch GMCS12 12RC41. 12 tooth...and I'm guessing #41 chain?

Could someone recommend an affordable replacement so I can get my bike back on the road?

If it's 41 chain, we have this #41 Chain, 10 Tooth - 3/4" - Mini Bike & Go-Kart Clutch but it's 10T driver. I've never seen an Aggie with a 41 chain but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Measure the teeth on your sprocket. 1/2" center of tooth to the center of the next tooth is #41. 3/8" is #35...

Yep. 1/2" thanks. Would dropping to the 10T noticeably decrease?? top speed or increase?? acceleration?

Smaller on the clutch would be more torque, less speed. What's the rear sprocket count?

i have two kol/aggies both are #35 chains!
Do you have any newer pics of your Aggie 97?

So, 5.6;1 final ratio right now. Depending on your tire diameter, that may be okay.

Cool :thumbsup: and your thread just reminded me to order the bearings for my Aggie wheels I am redoing......and that I will need a 41t clutch if I end up using them on something as my sprocket is 41t (off an Aggie 98) So thanks :smile:

Just a comment to to add about Aggie chain type, The 97 I had as a kid was #41 as is the project bike I have now.

Clutch covered, but can see chain and sprocket in the pic.
Can see my new $7 kickstand from OldMiniBikes. Lucky me, the pin fit perfectly in the original holder welded on. It hasn't had a kickstand for 30+ years.

:drool: Sweet ride!!! I did the same thing for my kickstand on mine, the spring attaches different than original but man that was nice that is fits without major rework!
