Dilling & Tapping an H80 to mount a starter?

#1
I would like to install a starter motor on my Super Bronc that has a good running Tec H80 on it and no mounting holes for the starter. I bought the flywheel and the matching 12v starter motor from a lawn tractor engine.
Has anyone done this successfully? Is there anything I really need to know, to do this successfully?

Thanks again,
Jerry...

If you can find a H80 that has the tapped holes? Check how deep they are ?

Then you can measure your drill bit and wrap black tape around it as a marker for a stop.

Is your Shroud set up for a starter?

The shroud is setup for the starter to the point of not even having the block off plate installed. I've been looking for a motor to actually make a drill jig from.
I have 2 H80's on the shelf, just none with starter holes.
