Heald Hauler Rebuild

#1
I bought this Heald Hauler HH-1211 from my friend Randy.
Randy is a paraplegic, his dad got it for him back in the 80’s.
He drove it for about 5 years until his father could not get to start.
It sat for another 5 years before he sold it to me.
Randy is in a nursing home now. I am going to rebuild it and hopefully
Randy can drive it again.

You won't regret it.
I just did that for the first time.
I got to figurrin, wire wheel,25 bucks, sanding discs ect,15 bucks, primer, sealer, paint, clear and time......worth a hundred bucks for the powder guy.

You sticking with the red?

After sanding on it for half a day, and the arthritis pain in my right hand, I decided to send it to the powder coaters.
You were doing that by hand :doah: I thought you were sand blasting it, I would at least send it out to be sand blasted  And powder coating would be well worth it if you were going to spray bomb it

I started putting the differential back together. I cleaned all the parts, and inspected all the gears. Although this trike is over 25 years old, I know it had about 7 years of hard use. The gears show no signs of wear, I like this Peerless differential.
