Thanks David, I can't pump up the tires very much because they round out and get very near the fender. It's not a big deal, I am still pretty happy with the bike overall. I am going to ride it this summer and work on it again next winter.
Well,I got it together and took it for the first ride. It runs good, lots of power and really fast but I can only start it with starting fluid. I'm not sure how to fix that.

Thanks, I was actually more worrried about the heat wrecking the paint and never thought of the vibration. I will look for some of those and get them in place.
I will try to work out the tire issue this summer. I go to a lot of swap meets and can usually find great deals as long as I am not in a hurry to find anything. I need to find some taller handlebars also.
Thanks for the input. I agree that it will be more stable, at the expense of quicker turning. There is really not much room for a bigger tire in the rear with the proximity to the fender. I could raise the back end but that would also raise the seat height and I don't want that. I am on the...
