sorro for the weird sounding title. but i dont know how to word it. so im looking for a 3hp engine where the recoil is on your left side and shaft on the right. i have a vintage mini bike whre the chain and sprocket on right. any suggestions if there are any

If there is no provision for a jack shaft, it may be possible to Just flip the rear wheel around.

Turn the rim around or a jackshaft. Post pictures.

You would need to verify your engine rotation was correct. Some of the older two stroke motors were configured with clockwise PTO rotation. Clockwise rotation was used for some industrial and chain saw engines and some diesel and marine engines.

You could probably make an engine plate that would mount on top of the existing one that would use a briggs or tecumseh with a remote tank. You could also have a jackshaft incorporated in that plate. You would probably loose the ability to fold it up but you could ride it. In order to restore it to fold up you'll probably have to either fix that fuji or find an exact replacement. I think there were some other 2 stroke engines that were counterclockwise, but again you might not be able to fold it up but I don't know that for sure.

There are vintage saw engines on ebay if you are able to build a mount and figure out a clutch.
