1960? Tote gote?

Looking for some help identifying this bike. The engine stamp is for a 1960 briggs, they guy I got it from said it is a Tote Gote but I can't find any markings on the frame. And the rounded rear end isn't matching anything I have found for Gotes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! I looked up the sidekicks. I think your assessment is correct.
Do you have any more info on this kind of bike? Manufacturer or years produced? The terms sportsman and sidekick are too vague to give any meaningful search results.

Spark, mine doesn't have suspension, the rear end is rounded and has sheet metal on top. Looks identical to the ads Richard posted

Richard thanks for posting the ads, I think you have found it. Do you know what model year the ads are from? The frame in the ads is spot on.

This is one of his very first models, 3hp. Story says they started around 1955. I don't think the motors shown were available until 1958.

Thank you for the back story. I'm trying to do some more research on the total years of production and difference between the models. I have found 59's that look very similar (frame with metal grating) but my engine is stamped 1960. Just trying to see if it is possibly all original or had a different engine put in.
Either way it's going to be fun to work on and get it going.
