Hi,
What is supposed to keep the rear brake caliper bracket from spinning on the axle? Am I missing a part? The brakes work but the caliper rotates.

I just picked it up last night. It can't be welded to the frame because I think it it slotted to move when you move the axle F-R.
I'm thinking there should be a bolt or tab welded to the frame, maybe?
Hoping someone has had one apart before and can shed some light.
Thanks.

You need a new tire anyway. Take the wheel off and you should see what you need.
Agree. Have a new tire ready to go. Just ran out of daylight last night and was hoping for some insight into what I might need so I can get it coming if I'm missing something.

I don't have one. Looking at this, https://www.colemanpowersportsusa.com/parts/mini-bike-parts/b200r/brake_assembly_B200R-B200C-B200V, and this, https://www.colemanpowersportsusa.com/parts/mini-bike-parts/b200r/Frame_200R-B200C-B200V, I would hazard a guess that there is supposed to be a stud that is welded to the inside of the axle plate that the slot in the brake caliper plate rides on so it doesn't spin on you.
If the axle bolt is not tight enough or you loosen the axle to adjust the chain.

OK. Whatever tab was supposed to be welded on the frame to engage the brake caliper bracket was missing.

Here's how I fixed it:

7/16 bolt, very strong.

Bolt becomes stud.

Drill 7/16 hole in the hanger where the welded tab was supposed to be. Not sure what kind of Chinese metal they used but it took a minute to drill a 1/4" starter hole with a very good drill bit.

Lock nut.

Now the brakes work like they are supposed to work and the caliper doesn't spin around and clank into the frame.

Oh, and changed the tire, too.
