I have an older 8hp briggs and want to "modernize it" with newer carb, air cleaner, intake and exhaust. What have some of you guys done and do you have pics? any help is appreciated. Necks got it pretty close to right
Ive only seen the updraft ( a pulsa jet is ringing a bell thou)
A tillotson, Mikuni, or Walbro may be a good place too look, IF you wanna bolt something new on, You will loose the governor, and gain power, but you do risk damaging the motor,
You may need to machine a custom manifold like Neck said in order for it to mount up good,
