Am i installing the clutch on the 212 predator correctly?

#1
Hey guys, im having trouble finding the best way to install this clutch. I watched a couple of vids and saw different methods all over the place. Is the clutch supposed to stick out from the end of the shaft and use a longer bolt to secure it? Or is it supposed to be flush with the end of the shaft? What if the square rod is too long and makes it stick out? Do i cut it down to size? I saw another person use a collar... is this collar necessary?

Method 1: is this the correct way? If so, how do i prevent it from sliding in the shaft?

Method 2: Or is this the correct way? The keystock is preventing it from going in any further.

Your first picture looks correct to me. Assuming that you need the sprocket outboard I would make the key short enough to make the clutch flush with the crank. Not knowing what your setup is exactly I'm just guessing. You need to have the clutch sprocket and back sprocket in line so that the chain runs straight.
