Bottom half of the frame acts as a swing arm?

Baffled... Has taco characteristics but the whole bottom half of the frame acts as a swing arm. Anyone have an idea...

Serious Question, what keeps this thing from folding up like an accordion? Has to have a lot of stress on the steering neck.
