Ex 21 carb/govenor help

any 1 know if just removing the stock govenor will solve my problem of constanly running 2600+ rpms. can i put a throttle cable to the carb, where the govenor spring used to go. i have heard that this engine( Robin Subaru ex21, 211cc, 7.hp from pressure washer) can idle around 1400 with out a govenor. i need to be able to put a functioning throttle on this engine:mad2:

That is a very nice stock motor. To bad I can't help you out. But you can maybe take this advice and run with it. Those Subaru/Robin motors come with the strongest factory rod.
