Does any one bend their own frames
If so how?
I have heard of a few different ways this is how they where made in my home town in Australia years ago: (The original way so I have been told)
They would use 1" med round steel 1/8 thick
Fill with sand and bend it around a jig made of 2" x 2" square steel
The jig was mounted to a pedastel bolted to the floor
Then the 1" tube was bent by hand in 1 steady motion
Sand is then emptied and the tube was welded using a stick welder (A forgoten craft for those with mig's)
Making them this way gave you identical frame sides each time you made them.
Hhhhuuummmmm for one thing at the end of the day you wouldn't need to go to the gym LOL
But it worked!!!!!
