H35 Air Cleaner Question

Could anyone tell me if the old style air cleaner assembly will bolt to a newer H35 engine that had the plastic assembly?

Yes, I can tell you.
And Yes, if you remove the two screws that hold the tube onto the carburetor, the metal plate should bolt on. You might have choke lever issues hitting the new canister.
