H35 Difficult To Cold Start

I have an H35 that I did some work on which included a new carburetor. The old carb had a primer bulb and it always started right up with a couple of pumps. The new carb has a choke and is difficult to start cold. Once the engine warms up it starts on the first pull every time. Is there anything that will help remedy this?

Clean or tune your carb until it cold starts good, thats what worked for me
