Is this exhaust too close to the carb?

Hi, will the exhaust being this close to the carb do anything bad? Tom

As a rule of thumb, gas and hot exhaust do not mix. For racing, we try to keep our fuel and air intake as cool as possible.

If the pipe touches the carb it will boil the fuel .

Would work well if you were in the Arctic. Be kinda like the old cars that used hot air off the exhaust manifolds to keep the engine running in cold weather.

If you have room and don't mind covering up your pretty chrome, you might get away with exhaust wrap on the pipe.

How close is too close?
Nobody seems to notice the fact that briggs engines carbs are literally inches away from the exhaust and they perform very well......
