Been looking for a mini bike a long time.
Then one day I saw one on CL for $50.
It did not have a motor but was a rolling
chassis . So I bought it and headed home.
I didn't even know what brand it was.
After me and the boys got through riding
it off the hill I went in to do some research.
Long story short... Research>mini bike>OldMiniBikes>
doodle bug.
When I was young the one kid with a mini bike
traded everything i owned for rides. I spent most
of my time hunting for dope bottles to buy gas for
that kids mini bike. It was all about gas. No gas no ride!
Do you remember when gas smelled so good? Up until
they changed the smell , when I smelled gas I thought of a
mini bike.
Well... getting to the point I love my doodle bug.
The good things about them , they are cheap and plentiful.
I guess my love affair with them is about that motor and
and the feeling of wind across my skin.
With this "all" being said, the doddle and my 212 pred. is a match made in heaven .:scooter:

Boy.. you got it bad!..:001_cool:
You don't know the half of it.
I'm pretty sure it stems from when I was 7.
My dad mounted a push mower motor
in a kitchen chair for me. It was th bomb!
I''ll never get over those times, turning that
wind-up starter and that "magic button".
I drug it around for a week leaving two lines in the dirt.
I finally mounted two wheels on the back legs.
It was so much easier to push than it was to pull.

Cool memories Oldscool, and a great story. You didn't care that it wasn't running anything....it was just running...!!!

I remember those wind up starters, that ratchet sound as you wind them, and the 'magic button' cool as heck.

Have fun with your mini bikes, and motors lol...
