Predator 212:How do I smooth it out? I mounted a new , stock Predator 212 on a Taco styled home built frame, and it is a huge improvement over the hard starting Briggs 5 hp I had on it before. Performance, starting, noise level are all awesome. However, it surges like a tsunami at all RPMs except wide open. I saw a piece on YouTube that advocated a E140 emulsion tube and a 9mm jet, which I ordered and installed. I didn't, like a dummy, catch the part of the video that mentioned that this combo was for modified 212s that had high performance flywheels and exhaust. It missed more than a Buffalo Bills kicker in the Super Bowl. I will eventually add a billet flywheel and connecting rod, and a tuned exhaust, but not in the next few months. So, in the meantime, any ideas?
