Hi, I just picked this up for $100. It has no markings I can find. Briggs motor and external shoe rear brake. It has good compression & spark.
Looks like a good project.
Thanks
Thanks, I do the same with late 50's and early 60's Hondas, they have all the parts listed, pretty much everything is unavailable except for nuts & bolts.
Sometimes the parts diagrams are more useful than the service manuals. I always grab old printed parts books when I see them at swap meets...
Last week I rescued a mini bike from a trash pile. Thanks to member Marcus I found out it was a 70's Sears mini bike.
I restore classic British and European motorcycles full time, so this mini bike is a nice change up. I can't remember what brand my first mini bike was.(Norton_ES2_rider on...
Yes, it was in the trash. It looked like the house was being sold.
I had a bad feeling it was going to be crushed in the back of a trash truck.
I worked summers at a Honda dealer in the early 70's as a kid and saw a lot of old Hondas head off to the dump as scrap metal.
So I pulled this beauty out of the trash.
My brother and I had mini bikes as kids, and I just couldn't let it go to the dump.
Any idea what it is or where I can find stampings.
Thanks
