Paint came out well, but shock top and bottom spring caps won't make it back from the chrome plater until mid-June. As a result, painted caps are used as an interim fix.
Rupp Roadster 2 restoration. The swing arm bushing is pinned/staked, making it difficult to remove the outer bushings. By drilling out the pin stake notch the bushings can be easily removed.
Rupp Roadster 2 restoration. The color looks much darker in the photo than it actually is. It's lighter and pretty close to original and that was the intent.
Rupp Roadster 2 restoration. This HS40 is close to a Rupp Roadster 2, but lacks the longer PTO shaft. All indications are that it will still work on the Rupp even though it has a shorter shaft. It's hard to find a decent HS40 with a working lighting coil!
