hs40?

So when I bought my Pennys cat frame it came with a tecumseh HS40 motor (has not worked since I acquired it) the float in the carb is missing but it has compression and spark so my QUESTION to you fine folks. is there something else besides the carb that I should check before I dump any moneys...

What sort has my hs40 got? I want to get spares for my carb, but am unaware of exactly what sort of carb I have. What is the part number of the carb (if there is such a thing)?

I need to know what size/thread the bolts are to hold on the chain guard. They are the holes right under the clutch. Thanks in advance, Bob
