1971 Parnelli Kawasaki Jones parts.

#1
Purchased new 1971. Used as a pit bike for years during my MotoX career. It's in great shape but been in shed for years. Time to freshen her up with a total resto. Will need parts. Mostly cosmetic but knowing my OCD level I am sure I won't stop there. Just turned 79 so my old race bike (RM400N) will never be started again. It would kill me. This is more my speed now. Where would you go for parts? Ex- Carb kit, fender, tires,
and the like?

Thanks Krusty 20160416_115806.jpg

Hey there Krusty. Welcome to the forum. Andy at Vintage Kawasaki up in Canada can get you the fenders and some other stuff. Tires can be purchased from eBay as well as other used and NOS parts. I can also help you out with just about anything you need including carburetor parts and tires. I also manufacture steel sprockets and the ejector seals for the carburetors. Send me a list of what all you are looking for and will get back to you with cost and availability.

Your bike the 1971 "Parnelli Jones" Dynamite MT1 is the most sought-after of all the MT1/KV75 production 1971-1980.

Like you I'm in the middle of restoring a classic MX bike like I had as a young man. A 1980 KX250 air-cooled 2-stroke.

Here's my freshly powder-coated frame and swingarm. New steering stem & swing arm bearings.

I also have several MT1/KV75's...

Have this exact bike in our collection.. It stalls after start up any ideas ?? Runs out of fuel. Went through it, Cleaned it out still same thing, as its stalling, I hit the bowl drain button and no fuel is coming out.. Sit for a second and can get it to start.. but only for a second..ever experience this ??
