2stroke performance

What can I do for some performance on a weed wacker engine, 26cc 2stroke. Exhaust?where? Bigger carb?where?how much? Cam? Idk about 2strokes. Thanks ahead of time

Start with a two stroke engine that has Hipo parts available for it, and starting with a larger engine wouldn't hurt either! The bicycle engine kits come to mind.

26cc is about 1-1/2 cubic inches. In the real world the most torque you can expect from the little motor is about on par with what is necessary to cut little weeds. No more. They have been put on bicycles but the performance is dismal. Life expectancy approx. the same as an LST in nuclear war. The out-put shafts are always tiny. Very tiny. If a sprocket was some how mounted on it the shaft would break rather soon. They were designed to drive a glorified speedometer cable...hence there was NO side thrust ever intended in their design. Don't wast your time with then would be my most humble opinion.
