Has anyone considered taking up the task of designing a minibike that is a 2x2? I know Rokon makes trail bikes that are 2x2 and has a patented design, but I think it would just be awesome to make one. Has anyone considered it or have any conceptual ideas regarding the idea? I am thinking about giving it a shot

Its Going to be a Minibike............Thats 2wheel drive.

Its My winter project and Right now Im Just getting the parts together.
I Will say, I am not hacking up any of my Vintage frames to make it.

I've seen the design with two engines, but I also saw a 2wd motorcycle that used what I think was a shaft drive through the backbone of the frame. Another option is to mimic Yamaha's design and do it with a hydrostatic front driver.

That sounds like a very interesting project :smile:

You're gonna need some kind of device to allow the 2 wheels to turn at different speeds, because when cornering, the front wheel travels more distance than the back one. Some kind of differential or a one-way bearing maybe?
