7 Hp Princess auto motor

#1
Well I ran out on my lunch break from work and picked up a new motor from princess auto.
It is a (All Power brand) honda clone 7hp , 208cc .
I will open the box when I get home from work and take some pictures.
I thought it was a good deal for $120.00.

Its a Loncin 208. Little brother to the predator. I believe they are mostly exported to Canada. I have heard of some in the US also.

Not so fast...

PA has a 212 clone on some pumps and presure washers..

The only 208 they sell is a snowblower engine.

There might be something new or surplus I am not familair with...

I had to get my snowblower running before I looked at my new toy lol
After draining bad gas , cleaning carb, and fuel lines it was good to go,
a HEAVY SNOWFALL warning for tomorow afternoon in my area.

Anyway on to the good stuff.
As for what this engine is I can only go by what is in the box.

Front View

3/4 Shaft , Clutch slid on nice and snug No slop

End Views

Throttle Hook up looks simple!!

Manual and Plug wrench

I don't have a lot of experience with honda/clones but it looks pretty good to me I wonder what upgrade parts will fit it?
I have to decide what to do with it too , LOL

PLease do a search before you ask..

There are so many threads on the subject already

Yes Old School I do know how to search , if I was looking for something .
I was however, only thinking out loud as a rhetorical question.
I don't think I will be modifying a new out of the box engine any time soon, I may have
to put it on my snow blower as its engine is on its last legs. LOL
HMMMM I "WONDER" HOW FAR A MODIFIED CLONE WOULD THROW SNOW!!!!

DO you have much snow yet?
Nothing in Northern Ontario, but its getting cold.

Modified snowblower eh?
Sounds like a subject worthy of a thread......

I would use a modified GX160 head.
A small header and Uniflow filter.
Jet as required......

We got dumped on today , first snow of the season about 6 " of wet heavy white stuff followed by freezing rain , was a nasty drive home from work , 2 wd truck no weight and no snow tires!!!

As for the snowblower I remember seeing a video on You tube of a V-8 powered one!!

There is a factory in Japan that builds them powered by the Dahatsu DM950 diesel used in the JD gattor and Kawasaki Mule. 25 Hp liquid cooled brute that fires snow a long ways off.
