A better Mikuni fuel input

Took the bike for a few laps after installing the carb with the hose-barb fuel inlet. Worked like a charm and now clamps are not necessary. I may shorten the fitting and just leave two barbs at the inlet.

I found that the "tube-in-a-tube" and a clamp was about the only thing that would work before adding the barb. It was just a little impractical. I am going to attempt a totally "clampless" fuel system by tapping the fuel pump for 1/8" fittings.

Also, I replaced the stock plastic tank outlet with a 1/8" NPT brass fitting. You don't even have to drill out the stock threads. I just ran the tap right through the existing threads. Worked perfect.
