Aggie help needed

#1
I just acquired a diamond in the rough Aggie 98 and hoping for a bit of guidance with parts.

My plan is a stock resto but with a custom color. With this in mind:

- Instead of re-chroming the bars, has anyone tried replacing their with the following from Stutz?: https://www.studzracing.com/product-p/56-9551c.htm
They look similar, but I'm hoping someone has tried to get a side-by-side comparison / opinion.

- Id like to keep the shocks and forks but again the chrome is pretty chewed up & deeply pitted. Has anyone found a decent replacement for 8-inch (i think) fork/shock compression springs ?

- Lastly, is anyone aware of any re-pop decals?

Thanks in advance!

How about some pictures of your bike. Painting or Powder coating the front end would be cheaper than re-chrome. You can do electro plating in a shiny nickel at home.. I've been looking for a decal too but probably have to get it made.

Pictures might be hard as she is all apart, in boxes with the frame in the blast cabinet.

I reached out to a few folks regarding re-popping the decals, so i will keep you posted.

As for the plating, coating etc....i was hipping to find some replacement parts instead to make t even cheaper. The pitting on the springs and bars is pretty deep so there will be a lot of prep work which adds up fast.

You should be able to find springs with some measuring and some time searching. Those replacement bars look pretty close but side by side comparison would tell.

Finding original parts to these bikes can be time/money consuming. Would probably be faster and cheaper if you have the original parts redone. I've been looking for an Aggie front end too with no results.

I'd appreciate it if you do keep me posted on the decal!
