A couple of friends moved to New Zealand and left behind a late model Cadillac with all the extra features for us to sell for them. And I went out to drive it and it had driver seat memory and of course power seats I though I was in a Trash Compactor it started squeezing me in the middle and I slid out just in time had to read the book to UN-program the memory the car was a nice ride with that Northstar engine.

here's another one i had for a couple of weeks. i think it was a '79. i bought it for $300 and sold it because it was a total piece of shit with no title. i also learned my lesson to never take a personal check for a car. i sold it for $250 and the check bounced.

i hahahahaed with the guy a bunch through IM programs and email afterwards. it was worth it.

I had a 79. Bought it new for less than 13K out the door. Last big block car available in the world. Everyone was freaking out at that time because the price of a gallon of gas went nearly to two bucks. They were trying to give luxury cars away and charging more for a stupid V6 Olds or Buick. The Cad was a lot better car in every way than a Jag sedan or a Lincoln or a MB [back then]. Don't know about now, but I suspect it's still true.

Ok, Now For The Rest of the Story: I put the 79 in a metal building and did not drive it. Was going to save it as a super low miler that would be mint, original years later. However, my wife decided to divorce me and took the Cad and that was that. Never bought another new car. Heck, that's now been 30 years! The pic is of my current driver, an 85 Escort.

purchase a 1979 phaeton back in the mid 90's. that was a real nice sunday driver.
first thing i did when i got it, i drove it over to my mom and dad's house and grab one of my moms elvis 8 tracks to see if it still work and yes it did. that car had power everything. first year and only year they made it? i believe. only seen them in silver(my color) and gold with a black canvas top. i have a picture of it somewhere?buried in some boxs:doah: also built a 500cubic inch caddy engine. thats whole nother story:doah:lots of torque:smile:

My dad left me his '89 Sedan DeVille. Nice old car, but not really a high point for the brand. I tried to attach a photo, but the pop-up said I've hit the limit. :sadcrying4: I guess it's time to become a supporting member.
