It's an early Tecumseh. Probably from a point in time shortly after they took over Lauson because they were still using that name. It's probably a 2 to 3 horsepower engine. Are you thinking of using it on a minibike?
actually thought about using it on my 1961 551 wheelhorse garden tractor. ibought the engine for $110.00, hope i did not over pay but i have never seen a lauson/tecumseh this old before. just fell in love with it.
It's a Lauson.... The Rupp Dart Cycles used an engine just like that for the most part... I've never seen that recoil before.. I'm guessing it came from something else.. It looks like one of the reversable ones.. flip over the guts and it pulls clockwise..
sell the recoil for 100 bucks on evilbay and buy a Lauson or tec one for it and be way ahead of the game..
