Baja MB200 engine upgrade (headlight?)

#1
I’m wanting to upgrade grade my engine. I just went to Harbor Freight and they have a 212 6.5hp and a 224 6.6hp. I didn’t know about the 224, but it was cheaper than the 212. The 224 was listed for $179.99. Anyway, I want to keep my headlight. Are any of my two engine options able to run the headlight. I like to do night rides.
Thanks for any help - Dog

Yes I have the 196, so I’m going back to Harbor Freight. This build is going to be one of a kind. I want to run the exhaust pipe on the right side just slightly above the lower frame tube. I want to buy once and cry once as far as the clutch is concerned. Is the Comet clutch much better than the Chinese?
I want the best for this project.
(In my picture, everything is just mocked up. It’s healed together with magnets & binder clips.)
Thanks - Dog

ps: does any make a detailed manual on the MB200 and or the Preditor motor?

Well I went and bought the 224. The fly wheel is much larger, especially the cooling fan & lock nut. I took it back and bought the 212 which has the same everything as the 196.

The fan and starter cup are larger on the 224, but the 196 flywheel will fit the 224. You just use the 196 flywheel and the 224 fan and starter cup. If you do not like the wider 224 parts use the 196 fan, starter cup, and blower housing. That's what I did on my 224.

The Predator 212's do not have the same everything as the 196. Which 212 did you get, a hemi or non hemi? Post a picture of the 212 you got showing the valve cover.

They had the wrong price tag on the 212, it was only $149.99
I should not have used the word everything. I was referring to the flywheel and fan.

Let us know if the 196 flywheel fits your non hemi 212 Predator, please?
There seems to be some confusion about that issue. Some say it will fit, some say no.
It is a question about the taper on the end of the crankshaft.

ARC lists different part numbers for the 196 Honda/clone, Predator 212 hemi and Predator 212 non-hemi. According to them, the Honda/clone flywheel fits the Ghost and the 224 but not the other Predators. The hemi and non-hemi flywheels do not interchange but neither match the Honda/clone, as @SAS289 said. Using a cast flywheel with the wrong taper could crack the flywheel

Well heck, I’m throwing in the towel. I got the fans off, but neither of my 2 pullers would work on the flywheels. I don’t want to mess up a brand new 212 motor and a good running 196, so I am just going to put a battery on it to run the headlight.
