Briggs 6HP Flathead Carb

#1
Yo!

I have this briggs 6hp flat head, according to the tags its from the mid 60's.. I don't know these too well, but I took a look at the carb, and the gasket inbetween the carburetor body and float bowl is crap. I'm wanting to get a cheap BUT GOOD aftermarket carb. Whats out there for carbs??

If the carb is complete and in reasonably good condition how about just replacing the gasket? Post some good pics of the engine and carb you have.

I'd like to go with a more modern carb for less issues down the road. Everything is pretty worn in the carb, and looks like someone left ethanol gas in it and ate part of the rubber tip needle.
