bug with a briggs

Has anyone tried to do a Chinese tav on a doodlebug with a 5 horse Briggs ? I'm wondering if the motor has to be raised to fit like a clone ? I really don't want to be cutting on the frame either if i can help it. Any input would be gratefully appreciated Thanks to any and all..
