The attached pic is a Caper Cycle. The originals used two stroke engines like Power Products West Bend. They were very fast but have weak 3/4" diameter tube frames. Both the Caper Cycles I have ssn have frame repairs. An unusual frame feature is the single down-tube from the stearing head to the "foot peg bar". All came with jack shafts. The one in the picture not only has the wrong engine it has plates on both right and left welded to the area near the rear axle attachments. Also the seat is wrong. By any chance do you have a Caper Cycle frame?
I thought I saw one on craigslist but I was mistaken. I just remembered yours having the single tube from the triple tree to the foot pegs. The frame I saw had that also but that was the only similarity it had.
