I bought this flattie last year for $30. It ran; barely.... Removed governor, Ported and Polished, and added a header pipe. Upon cleaning the stock gas tank, it broke ( the little bowl that the short pickup tube pulls gas out of). I got the idea and plans (from a fellow DIYGK member) to use a clone carb since I had one...
I made flanges, manifold, and header pipe. It started on 2nd pull
but with a remote gas tank. Then Decided to make a mount to hold my DB tank on my Briggs. So I can have one single mobile unit.
Also since the jets are so cheap I put a 140 E-tube and 136 main so now it is back to life with some Chinese help.
