Coleman Frame Cracked…What Are My Options?

As to the crack in the frame, I'd cut a V notch into it with a cut-off wheel (a vroom vroom high speed one) and weld it in to fill the notch and crack. Use that same grinder to smooth the weld flush and make it all disappear.

Any other signs on that mini bike to indicate it was used for mad jumps off cheap plywood ramps and/or other abuse? 9/10ths of all minibikes I see for sale look like they're owned by methhead crackbillies and are thrashed to death and held together with oversized zip ties and duct tape. I think it's because they're Chinese and there's a natural loathing for them. Lol

You're going to have to touch up the paint and try to match that tan color I guess.

I’d do a version of this, except I’d only grind away the surface weld such that I could lay a gusset flat over it (welding an identical gusset over the other undamaged side). The gussets would follow the curve of the frame, extend down on the bottom and back on the top several inches, then connect together making a sort of triangle with the rounded corner top front. Visually, it would look similar to the front of a B212 frame… It would reinforce a known weak area of those frames, and maybe prevent the bending/cracking that typically occurs there. Of course, it’s always possible it just moves the stress to another area, but I think it would be an overall improvement.

I want an illustration. :) They say us fellas can only really communicate via pictures, diagrams and blueprints...

Me thinks that just maybe..............That sucker is fixed by now.
Just bustin' stones here so don't get all lathered up.
Happy weekend everyone, enjoying the break in heat and humidity on east coast today!

Given the slow movement in this particular sub-forum, I’m happy to hear anyone chime-in about whatever, whenever. :p
