Truth is I live in Canada and have no say and little interest in your politics.
But get a handle on your nut cases or you will end up with a back yard burried full of greased and hidden fire arms because that Uncle Samy of your has decided NON of you has enough self control to own one.....

When it makes news here its a fairly clear message you have too many crazies and not enough hospitals....

I am aware of a particular politician from Alaska that has made herself out to be some champion of the right who put a cross hair on a webpage of her political opponents. Thats petty and Childish and I hope you keep that in mind next time your at the polls. That is the kind of loose cannon that will sick the police in riot gear on you for protesting peacefuly ( as is your right ), those are the types of people that will infringe on your rights untill your society becomes so violent and divided you realy need to carry guns.

Trust me on this: Us Americans, me and all that I have ever come into contact with in all of my 69 years, do not care about who the King and Queen of Canada is. Never even think about Canada.

Therefore I am always at a loss as to why a person living up there in God's Country away from all the bad things that can only happen in more southern climes should care about U.S.of A. politics.

How do you decide who needs a frontal lobotomy and who just needs to be taken out and shot, before they do some senseless act as before mentioned? Are you qualified to judge these people? I'm not! The problem is, there isn't enough money to be spent on asylums to lock questionable candidates up in so they can be evaluated once they display the kind of antics this lunatic in Arizona did! Crazy people have, and always will be a part of our society, and the larger the population gets, the more crazy people there will be! Hitler had ways of dealing with these people, but would you want somebody like him in power of your country? Hell no! he was crazy too! Is their no violent crime in Canada? People get shot here in the USA quite regularly the difference is this is more high profile. Did you know that several people were shot and killed in this tragic event? Including a little girl why is it the news people only care about the congress woman?

Guns are a great tool just like a hammer or scewdriver and all 3 can be used to kill a person if miss used I don't see anyone trying to regulate screw drivers lol what's next outlawing rocks? Lol

Incidents like these are always capitalized on by the gun grabbers. I know of at least one congresswoman who spent the weekend crafting an anti-gun bill, which she hopes to get passed in the wake of this tragedy. The guy was clearly nuts.

The thing that upsets me is that pundits and OpEd columns are already blaming a bunch of various people for this guys actions; the TEA party, Glenn Beck, the Constitution party, Mrs Palin, etc, when the evidence is that this guy was just a nut-job and didn't really share much with those people ideology wise. On his profile page, he lists Mein Kampf (Hitler's autobiography of his struggles to advance the German Socialist worker's party) and The Communist Manifesto as two of his favorite books. Not exactly the TEA party type ehhh?

If Loughner had snapped before the Democrats lost the house, we may well have lost some 2nd amendment rights over this.

I think she is quite clever actualy.

I even noticed she has some sort of TV show (didn't watch it but she was doing some sort of outfitting for a hunt ).

Now If I made a webpage and put cross hairs on all my bad neighbors odds are I would get in trouble. Thats as good as a death threat when you think about it. That was not smart of her and I suspect shows he has no respect for people with different opnions. Thats also not stupid, it dangerous.

Is there gun crime in Canada? Yes
Not near as much as the USA ( more people here die from knife fights ). There are a couple of reasons for it like significantly fewer hand guns, but there is a cultural factor there too. You just don't shoot people in Canada, things don't get to that point before cops show up or other people around get involved.

How do you know someone is going to pick up a gun and shoot. I can;t answere that. But if someone has a clear metal problem ( and I think drug addiction and even habbitual drunks who drive ) need to be under a doctor care and not walking the streets. We don't have enough people in hospitals here but they don't so easily have access to guns ( so they use knives ).

It is a sad trend in the USA to let our drug addicts and half-wits make vast millions & millions of dollars with a TV or radio show.
Add some religion and you have a real rodeo.

The camera and the microphone have such a great appeal here, that guns are but a simple shortcut of instant expression.

Canadians are still in the civilized stage, when political opponents can recognize the hard work and good intentions of their opposites. You folks still disagree with good intent.

We USA-ers are entering phase 2 of civilization. Total destruction by superior firepower, hate hate hate, and then finally "Kill them all and let God sort them out".

Religion does not fit into this because you can be a decent god fearing guy or a jerk. It could be following his bible and the normal rules that make a society function are roughly the same.
Point being a good Christian does not pick up a gun and shoot people.....

You don't get to be a person in power if you are an idiot. The danger comes from the motivation of a person. They say at least 1/3 of all the CEOs and money managers in the world are phycopaths ( spelling, Give me a break ok my mother tongue is french or was and see what going to french school and flipping back and forth to english all the time in your formative years does to you ability to spell lol ).
They know right from wrong but don't care, what they are interested in is power and self enrichment. How many politicians are there with the same mental defect? I think man people on the extreme right ( from a buisness point of view ) are like that.

I don't know but she and many other politicians, and buisness leaders are not remotely interested in making this a better worldm but would rather see wealth and privilage concentrate in their hands. And these same people seem to have no issues at all taking from you and I the working class.
