so,if you can nab a crank thats Brand New for 25-40 bucks,whats a used crank worth...?

Depends on who used it and how much.

Listen carefuly.....
Dangerous parts like flywheels have to be watched very closely.
A few years back it was common to use the GXV160 flywheel.
This was a good cast part but not billet ( I still have one in service ).

Used ones were sometimes a crap shoot because you could not be sure if it was abusd and beaten with a puller or over torqued with an impact.
I never heard of one failing but I have seen some develop cracks from frequent removal and bad practices...

Taper damage can happen too any aluminum flywheel.
Advantage PLV with the steel hub center


A used crank however is not a bad thing provided its not been damaged or has excessive wear.

I personaly would expect to pay less for a used one than new simply because I can;t inspect it first.

Look at thee post the rod says +10. Piston is stock size
